High-Confidence Machine Learning and AI for Financial Time-Series

Ediz Ozkaya will discuss challenges and recent approaches around controlling the error tail of AI and machine learning models and, improving model explainability to achieve high-confidence predictions in market making and trading flows.
Majority of existing AI and machine learning literature is based on assumptions that the data comes from a single probability distribution, which is not a valid assumption for financial time-series. We believe it is essential to address non-stationary nature of time-series in order to rely on AI and machine learning models.

Oliver Rees, Motivational AI speaker (sponsored by CME Group)

Oliver will give an inspirational introduction to the companies pioneering innovations in the world of data science & technology. Learn how companies like ING, GE and Unilever are mimicking behaviours from startups to accelerate their growth and create new services and offerings. Case studies from the worlds of insurance, finance and beyond will be used to show how the adoption of disruptive technologies is possible using strategies like openness, collaboration and a hacking mindset. Challenges related to these disruptive technologies will be introduced, including the ethical dilemmas involved with AI.
