Talerbiografier

Carsten Stendevad
Bridgewater Fellow

Carsten Stendevad joined Bridgewater Associates in 2017 as a Bridgewater “Senior Fellow.” Prior to joining Bridgewater, Carsten served as the CEO of ATP, Europe’s 3rd largest pension scheme with 5 million members and $115bn in assets. At ATP, Carsten was responsible for all investment, pension, and administrative activities. Previously, Carsten was a Managing Director in Citi’s Investment Banking division in New York, with global responsibility for Citi’s corporate finance advisory team. Earlier in his career, Carsten was a consultant at McKinsey & Company and an analyst at the Centralbank of Denmark. Carsten holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Copenhagen, as well as a Master of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Carsten has been involved in numerous global investor initiatives including, “Focusing Capital on the Long Term”, and was also the lead-author of the Danish Stewardship Code for institutional investors. He is a member of “Disruptionsrådet”, a blue ribbon commission chaired by the Danish Prime Minister on preparing Denmark for the 4th industrial revolution.

Jens Larsen
Managing Director, Wellington

Jens focuses his work on central bank and European macroeconomic issues, drawing on his experience in central banking and his economics background. Prior to joining Wellington Management in 2014, Jens was chief European economist at Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets (2010 – 2014). Before moving to the private sector, he held a number of positions at the Bank of England (1998 – 2010), including as an economist working on supply side and financial market issues and as private secretary to the deputy governor for Monetary Policy. His final position at the bank was head of the Macro Financial Analysis division, providing financial market analysis to the Monetary Policy Committee in the first period of the financial crisis. From 2006 – 2008, Jens was seconded to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as alternate executive director, representing the United Kingdom on the Fund’s executive board.
Jens has a PhD (1999) and an MSc (1995) in economics from the University of Southampton, UK, and a BA in economics from the University of Aarhus in Denmark (1994).

Charlotte Flindt Pedersen
Direktør, Det Udenrigspolitiske Selskab

Charlotte Flindt Pedersen er direktør for Det Udenrigspolitiske Selskab. Hun bidrager fast til Jyllands-Postens internationale klumme samt er ansvarshavende redaktør af Selskabets tidsskrift Udenrigs. Charlotte kommer fra en stilling som international chef og vicedirektør ved Institut for Menneskerettigheder. Her har hun også i en årrække beskæftiget sig med menneskerettighedsreformer i de lande, som opstod efter Sovjetunionens og Jugoslaviens opløsning. I sin studietid boede hun flere år i Sovjetunionen og oplevede på nærmeste hold de samfundsmæssige omvæltninger som følge af Gorbatjovs perestrojka og glasnost. I 1990 udgav hun sammen med fotografen Stig Stasig bogen ”Eksperimentet – billeder fra Sovjetunionen”. Charlotte Flindt Pedersen har en kandidatgrad i østeuropastudier og statskundskab fra Københavns Universitet.

Thomas Krogh Jensen
CEO, Copenhagen Fintech

Previously, Thomas has been director in Aon Denmark and in Nordea Liv & Pension, he has been responsible for business development, innovation, project management, business architecture, IT business design and requirements and digitalization. Now, Thomas is steering the wheel at Copenhagen FinTech. Copenhagen FinTech is an innovative growth organization based on the vision of creating a Danish growth adventure within fintech. We want to position Copenhagen as one of the leading FinTech Hubs in the global financial services industry by supporting and catalyzing the next era of technology-led corporate and start-up innovators.
Thomas holds an MBA from DTU.

Michael Grønager, PhD
CEO, Chainalysis

Michael Gronager is CEO and co-founder of Chainalysis Inc., the leading company in investigation and compliance services for distributed value transfer. Prior to founding Chainalysis Michael was the COO and co-founder of Kraken, one of the unicorns in the Bitcoin space and today the worlds biggest bitcoin exchange. Before being bit by the crypto bug in 2011 Michael was running international research infrastructure projects, latest the as CEO for the Nordic DataGrid Facility at that time the biggest distributed storage installation world wide. Michael has served as member of the research infrastructure EGI Project Management Board, the EGI Technical Collaboration Board and at present he is member of the Board of the Swedish National Supercomputer Center, NSC as well as the Blockchain and virtual currencies Working Group preparing the 5th European Anti Money Laundry Directive.

Nicholas Meilstrup
CEO, CrediWire

Nicholas has a theoretical background with a BA in International Business and a Master in Accounting, Strategy and Control from Copenhagen Business School. CrediWire is the fifth company, and the second software company Nicholas takes part in building from scratch. His experience ranges from starting McDonald’s restaurants, to building a fashion retail chain (in with operations in Denmark and Norway), to importing and distributing luxury spirits, and building IT infrastructure for the fashion industry. Nicholas’ diverse business experience has helped him achieve a solid understanding of 1) building and running companies from scratch to 2) managing business in very different industries. Both are highly helpful for both building CrediWire the Company and developing CrediWire the System.

Morten Hummelmose
Partner, EQT

Morten Hummelmose joined EQT Partners in August 2006 and is Head of EQT Partners Equity team in Denmark and of EQT Partners’ office in Copenhagen.
Prior to joining EQT Partners, Morten worked as a Director in the corporate finance department of Enskilda Securities (2001-2006) in Copenhagen. Prior to Enskilda Securities, Morten worked at Goldman Sachs International (1998-2001) in London and Aros Securities (1995-1998) (now Nordea) in Copenhagen.
Morten holds a M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and a M.Sc. in Finance from the University of London.

Louay Mikdashi
Managing Director, Head of Alternative Solutions, BlackRock in EMEA

Mr. Mikdashi joined BlackRock in 2015 from Santander Asset Management where he held the role of Chief Investment Officer of Global Alternatives and led all aspects of the investment process across alternative strategies (hedge fund, private credit, private equity, insurance linked, regulatory capital, among others). Mr. Mikdashi also held the position of Chief Investment Strategist for Santander Asset Management and led economic and market research across 11 countries and co-chaired the global investment committee of the firm. Prior to joining Santander in 2004, Mr. Mikdashi worked in the wealth management divisions of Citibank and ABN AMRO advising and managing assets for a broad range of clients in Latam, Europe and the Middle East.
Today Mr. Mikdashi is Head of Alternative Solutions for BlackRock in EMEA and responsible for managing and expanding the region’s multi-alternative platform.
Mr. Mikdashi earned an MS degree, Dean’s Fellow, in finance from Boston College, an MBA degree, Babson Fellow, from Babson College, an MS degree in economics from HEC Lausanne, respectively and is also an alumnus of the Harvard Business School General Management Program (GMP).

Tom Haas Carstensen
Executive Director, Head of Nordics, LGT

Tom Haas Carstensen is an Executive Director at LGT Capital Partners Ltd. Prior to joining the firm in 2016, he headed BlackRock‘s Financial Institutions Group, Nordics based in Copenhagen, focusing on investment solutions, alternatives and balance sheet outsourcing. Before joining BlackRock, Mr Carstensen was head of Fixed Income and ALM Hedging for Danica Pension, a Danish life insurance company. Earlier in his career he worked for several different investment banks, including Salomon Brothers, ABN, UBS and Dresdner Kleinwort based in London and New York, focusing on financial solutions, derivatives and structured products.
Mr Carstensen holds an MSc in Economics from University of Copenhagen, and he speaks English, Danish and Portuguese.

Pascal Pernet
Principal, Head of Client Solutions, LGT

Pascal Pernet is a Principal at LGT Capital Partners Ltd and is a member of the Client Solutions team. Before joining the firm in 2012, he was a Partner at ABS Investment Management LLC, an independent fund of hedge funds manager specialising in Equity Long/Short strategies, where he was responsible for the firm‘s clients and business development outside of the US. In 2004, Mr Pernet was a co-founder of PvB Pernet von Ballmoos Ltd, a FINMA regulated fund management company specialising in alternative investment strategies. Prior to this, Mr Pernet was a Director and Head of Global Private Client Sales at Credit Suisse, responsible for global product distribution to private and corporate clients. He began his career at Credit Suisse as a Vice President in the Private Banking Division where he was mainly involved in structuring and introducing alternative investment products to
private clients.
Mr Pernet holds a Masters degree in Finance and Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), Switzerland, and pursued further education at Stanford University.

Birgitte Søgaard Holm
Vicedirektør, Finanstilsynet

Birgitte Søgaard Holm er vicedirektør i Finanstilsynet med ansvar for tilsynet med kapitalmarkedet. Birgitte sidder i det europæiske værdipapirtilsynsmyndighed’s (ESMA) Board of Supervisors og er valgt ind i ESMAs Management Board. Birgitte har i en årrække arbejdet i Nationalbanken bl.a. som chef for finansiel stabilitet.

Birgitte er cand.polit og har en MBA fra Henley Business School.

Lars Bertram
Direktør, BankInvest

Lars Bo Bertram har været ansat i den finansielle sektor siden 1985 og har de seneste 20 år beskæftiget sig med kapitalforvaltning med primære ansvarsområde indenfor investering, pension, erhvervs- og institutionelle kunder samt administration.Senest som bankdirektør i Nykredit Bank A/S og chef for Nykredit Asset Management var Lars Bo Bertram medlem af Nykredit Banks direktion og Nykredit Koncernledelse.
Lars har været direktør for BankInvest siden 2015. BankInvest er en dansk kapitalforvalter og udbyder af investeringsforeninger med en samlet formue under forvaltning på cirka 150 mia. kroner. Ejerkredsen bag moderselskabet BI Holding A/S består af 39 danske regionale og lokale pengeinstitutter.
Lars Bo Bertram er uddannet fra Handelshøjskolen i København og har gennemført Senior Executive Programme på London Business School samt AMP 181 på Harvard Business School.

Thomas Steen Hansen
Global Head of Equity Research, Danske Bank C&I

Thomas Steen Hansen has worked within investment banking for more than 20 years with main focus on Equity Research. He is currently Global Head of Research in Danske Bank running a team of specialists within Equity Research, Corporate Access and Research Support. Prior to Danske Bank Thomas held various positions within sell side Equities at Alfred Berg, ABN AMRO and Handelsbanken.
Thomas holds a MSc in Economics and Business Administration (Finance and Accounting) from Copenhagen Business School.

Anne Buchardt
Senior Director, Nordic Head of Personal Advice, Nordea

Before joining Wealth Management in Nordea in 2014, Anne has worked several years in the DK financial sector – first as a financial analyst in markets and asset management functions, and for the last 11 years primarily in senior positions within wealth management and retail banking focusing on savings and investment advice and Private Banking. Today Anne is Nordic responsible for the Personal Advice area in the newly established ISAC-organisation in Nordea and member of the Country Senior Executive Forum.
Previous positions include: Chief Economist in BG Bank, Senior Vice President in Group Wealth Management in Danske Bank, Regional Head of Private Banking in Danske Bank, and Senior Vice President in Personal Banking Business Development in Danske Bank
Anne holds a Master in Economics from University of Copenhagen. She has also completed education programmes at SIMI and Insead as well as leadership programmes at IMD and LBS.
