Tema: Behavioral Finance og Client Management processen

Forskning indenfor adfærdsvidenskab og økonomer har længe vidst, at mennesker ikke altid er rationelle økonomiske aktører. Det gælder både kunder og rådgivere. Adfærdsøkonomisk forskning har også fundet, at sociale, følelsesmæssige og kognitive faktorer, påvirker kundernes økonomiske beslutninger og at de kan stå i vejen for objektive investeringskriterier og beslutninger. Disse faktorer, også kaldet biases, og som er underbevidste psykologiske faktorer, kan få en ellers rationel person til at tænke eller handle irrationelt. Alt sammen med fokus på rollen som client manager.

Vi har derfor valgt at indbyde Kasper Meisner Nielsen, Professor, Center Manager, Copenhagen Business School og Frans Verhaar, CFA, CAIA, FRM, FDP, Senior Director, bfinance til at sætte fokus på temaet, ud fra de teoretiske vinkler og de praktiske.

Begge talere ventes at deltage i den efterfølgende netværksdebat og netværksdagen vil blive afholdt på engelsk.

Kasper Meisner Nielsen

Professor, Center Manager, Copenhagen Business School

Kasper Meisner Nielsen is Professor of Finance at Copenhagen Business School and Research Fellow at the Danish Finance Institute (DFI). Professor Nielsen’s past positions include Associate Professor at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Assistant Professor at Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Academic Director of the HKUST-NYU Stern Master of Global Finance. He received a B.Sc., a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Copenhagen.

Professor Nielsen’s research interest is applied microeconometrics in the areas of corporate finance and household finance. He has studied the consequence of family succession on firm performance, the value of independent directors, and why individuals shy away from stocks. His research has featured in international newspapers and magazines including Business Week, Financial Times, Harvard Business Review, International Herald Tribune, The Economist, The Times of India, and Wall Street Journal.

Professor Nielsen’s work has been published in academic journals including American Economic Review, The Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Management Science, and Review of Finance, and his reserach has been presented at more than 150 institutions across more than 30 countries. Professor Nielsen has been awarded with external financing from competitive research grants on several occasions.

Frans Verhaar, CFA, CAIA, FRM, FDP

Senior Director, bfinance

Frans joined bfinance’s London office in early 2007 as part of the research and development team where he worked with institutional investors from around the world to deliver their manager search and selection mandates. At the beginning of 2009, Frans moved across to business development side in order to focus on the Dutch and Belgian institutional Investor market. Frans joined bfinance from ING in The Hague where he had been based since 2001, latterly in their Fixed Income and Corporate Treasury department managing liquidity, foreign exchange and interest rate risks for ING Insurance Holding. Prior to that, Frans worked as a portfolio manager for institutional clients with ING Investment Management. Frans is a CFA, CAIA FRM and FDP charterholder and holds an MScBA from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
