Androniki Menelaouis a Lead Data Scientist in the Wholesale Banking Advanced Analytics team of ING. She studied Mathematics and Statistics and received a PhD in Statistical Genetics from the University of Oxford. After six years in academia analysing human genomes and their association with complex diseases, she moved to ING as a Data Scientist. There she continued exploring the wealth of information hidden in data. She has worked for three years in the retail domain of ING, focusing on predictive models related to lending. She is now the initiative lead of Katana Lens, an innovation project that develops tools to aid asset managers on their decision process marrying Machine Learning, UX design and cloud solutions.

Madhuban Kumar
Madhuban is the founder of Metafused, an AI first company for capital markets. She is customer centric with 22 years working in Europe, USA and India, as an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and treasurer, with her last 10 years working in data analytics. She bought IP in data for clients like BT and Camelot from universities and startups and built innovative products like the Barclays-Oyster card. Previously, she invested as an early stage cross-border investor for Insight Venture Capital and Siemens Venture Capital. She started her career at GSK in Treasury and investment for a $120m Horlicks plant. 

Mikael Munck
Mikael Munck is the founder and CEO of 2021.AI and has 25+ years of experience in Technology and Financial sectors. Mikael was the Global Head of Technology and Operations at Saxo Bank. He served as CEO and co-owner at Initto, IT services provider, building and growing this company to more than 200 employees. Mikael is the Chairman of Copenhagen FinTech. Mikael is investor and  board member of several other technology companies (Baffin Bay Networks, VirtuGo and Provargo).

Said Aspen
Devoted software engineer and machine learning enthusiast, Said Aspen is one of the founders and a partner at Visigon – a consultancy firm focusing on helping the capital markets successfully leverage technology and IT. His background in telecommunications, developing application protocols for 4G, at Ericsson AB, has given him a perspective of how much more IT in capital markets must mature in order to be truly IT-first. Today looking at new technologies such as AI, machine learning and block-chain, for further accelerating business. Said is of the firm belief that many wrongly view these new technologies as black magic. But if applied to real-world problems, they can be used right here and right now.

Samik Chandarana
Managing Director and Head of Data Analytics, Corporate & Investment Bank. In this role, he leads the Data Analytics team and is responsible for a cohesive data science strategy, coordinating and prioritizing the portfolio of projects, as well as developing a framework for the appropriate sourcing and usage of data across businesses. He also works closely with the firm’s technology teams and the Chief Data Office to identify and build specialized capabilities that require long-term investments, build and maintain appropriate data and research platforms, develop and grow suitable external partnerships, and ensure a resilient, well-controlled and scalable analytics and data science infrastructure.
Samik has more than 18 years of experience in Credit Markets where he was most recently the head of Global Credit Indices and Global Credit eTrading. He obtained a degree in Engineering and Management from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in England.

Rasmus Pedersen
Rasmus Pedersen joined Maj Invest in early 2015 as a Junior Analyst with focus on global value equities. In November 2015 began full-time as an analyst, still with focus on value equities. Rasmus holds an MSc from Copenhagen Business School.

Peter Smedegaard
Peter Smedegaard is the founder of the 3-year-old company Innolab Technology (Institutionally focused fin-tech company seeking to produce superior alpha investment solutions through our artificial intelligence and deep learning investing.) and Innolab Capital https://innolabcapital.com (Denmarks first autonomous hedge fund based on artificial intelligence). Has 20+ years of experience in Technology and Data industry.

Kourosh Marjani Rasmussen
is the founder of AlgoStrata, a module based platform for building and analyzing quantitative asset allocation strategies, as well as Finansielt CV where individuals can gather their financial data securely, get insights and inspiration and be able to easily share the documents and insights with their financial advisors or banks when needed. AlgoStrata serves as the portfolio benchmarking and analysis engine in the Finansielt CV. What is more, AlgoStrata, can be used as a stand-alone platform specialized for index allocation with focus on ETFs and mutual funds.
Kourosh has a PhD in financial optimization and has started the Financial Engineering specialization at the Technical University of Denmark. Besides his work with AlgoStrata and Finansielt CV, Kourosh teaches a course in optimal asset allocation and supervises several students at different levels every year.

Ed Cole
Ed is Managing Director for Equities in Man GLG, Man Group’s discretionary asset management business, and has been working for Man Group since 2015. In earlier positions, he worked as portfolio manager and equity strategist with Carmignac Gestion, Finisterre, Ashmore, and J.P. Morgan.
Ed graduated from the University of Bristol with a BSc in Politics and from the London School of Economics with an MSc in International Development.

Alexander Harrington
Alexander Harrington, CTO, Matter Pension, is a Civil Engineer by education with a special interest in computer science. Having built and implemented neural network-based models in several companies, with applications ranging from algorithmic trading to visual recommendations of artpieces, he is a firm believer that AI and machine learning has something to offer almost anywhere it is applied. At his current company, Matter, his team is applying AI to screen investment portfolios for problematic assets and sustainability metrics.

Steffen Lauritzen FRS
Professor of Statistics, University of Copenhagen. Studied Statistics at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and was appointed there as Lecturer until 1981. Professor of Mathematics and Statistics at Aalborg University, Denmark, from 1981 to 2004. Professor of Statistics at the University of Oxford from 2004 to 2014. Professor of Statistics at the University of Copenhagen and Adjunct Professor in Aalborg since 2014. He is a leading proponent of mathematical statistics and graphical models.

Co-founder and Chairman of HUGIN Expert A/S which produces software for intelligent systems based on graphical models www.hugin.com.    Awards and honours include: Honorary Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society 1992; The Guy Medal in Silver 1996; elected to the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters 2008; elected to the Royal Society 2011. Humboldt Research Award 2016.
