Join us for an afternoon when we cover the promises of RegTech for automated compliance in financial services. RegTech is no longer all about reporting, as automation and Artificial Intelligence are making their way into knowledge-intensive areas, including compliance and financial legislation.

Where finance and technology meet legislation, RegTech is now helping financial institutions comply. Do the right thing, and save time and money in the process.

RegTech for Onboarding and Compliance Assessments

15.30      Classified, Suitable & Appropriate
               Remonda Kirketerp-Møller, CEO, Muinmos

Regulated firms are not only under an obligation to know their clients, they must also categorize clients correctly, e.g. as either retail clients or professionals. In addition, they must make sure that the services or products offered to clients are suitable and appropriate.

If a client is to receive investment advice or portfolio management services, a suitability test must be undertaken, and if the client is to trade themselves, an appropriateness test must be made.

All this is time consuming and costly, and it is sometimes hard to assess whether the client in question can be onboarded, if the client is in one jurisdiction, and the firm is in another.

However, new RegTech solutions make it possible to do all this automatically, saving time and money in the process while onboarding more clients.

RegTech for KYC, AML and Due Diligence

16.00     Knowing the client you never met
              Paul Murphy,Chief Commercial Officer, NorthRow

All financial institutions are obliged by law to know the identity of their clients. But what does that mean, when many of them never meet their clients in person? And what does it mean in a world where a lot of business is global by nature?

Luckily, there are now RegTech solutions available where client data can be obtained efficiently, also when the clients are domiciled in another country, and the data sources may vary greatly. We will take a look at how this is done.

16.30      Figuring out what is going on
