Klimaforandringer og de finansielle risici og muligheder
Klimaforandringerne og behovet for at omstille den globale økonomi bliver helt centrale for den globale økonomiske udvikling i de kommende årtier. Det vil ændre risikobilledet på måder, vi ikke tidligere har været vant til, som investorer, og spørgsmålet er, hvordan vi bedst muligt forholder os til det. Både ud fra et risikoperspektiv og ud fra de nye muligheder, som omstillingerne vil byde på.
På webinaret vil Karen Abelskov fra Finanstilsynet fortælle om deres regulatoriske vinkel på følgerne af klimaforandringerne. I december udsendte Finanstilsynet deres årlige julebrev til forsikrings- og pensionsselskaberne, hvor fokus netop er på de finansielle risici, som følge af klimaforandringerne.
John Goldstein fra Goldman Sachs vil tale om de perspektiver, de ser for udviklingen de næste 10 år, hvor Goldman Sachs har meldt ud, at de forventer at deltage i finansiering, rådgivning og investeringer for 750 mia. dollars i climate transition and inclusive growth frem til 2030
Andre Bertolotti fra BlackRock vil, med afsæt i Larry Finks CEO letter 2020, hvor der sættes fokus på klimarisici, tale om, hvordan BlackRock konkret arbejder med de finansielle risici, der følger af klimaforandringerne.

Karen Dortea Abelskov
Karen Dortea Abelskov was appointed Deputy Director General in February 2018. She is responsible for the supervision of capital markets, financial reporting, IT-security and investor protection. Karen Dortea Abelskov joined the Danish FSA in 2009. In 2010 she was appointed Director of Small Banks Division.
Karen Dortea Abelskov has previously worked in the Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs and the European Commission.
Karen Dortea Abelskov is MSc in Economics and Management from the University of Copenhagen.
John is head of the Sustainable Finance Group (SFG), which is responsible for working across Goldman Sachs to deepen the firm’s knowledge and grow its capabilities in relation to inclusive growth and climate transition. He serves as chair of the Sustainable Finance Group Steering Group. John joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management as a managing director in 2015 through the acquisition of Imprint Capital, which he co-founded in 2007, to help expand the firm’s Environmental, Social and Governance and impact investing capabilities.
Previously, John served as senior managing director of Medley Global Advisors. During that time, he co-founded and served as the executive director of the Medley Institute. Prior to that, John was a management consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). John has served as an advisor or board member to a diverse set of organizations in the impact space including groups such as the US National Advisory Board of the G8 Social Impact Investing Task Force, the Global Impact Investing Network’s ImpactBase initiative, the Global Social Venture Competition, McKinsey’s working group on Social Impact Bonds, Global Giving, the Sustainable Food Lab, the UN Capital Development Fund, the International Interfaith Investment Group and a range of other organizations. John graduated from Yale University with honors. He was awarded the Richter Fellowship and the Townsend Prize.
Andre Bertolotti, CFA, is head of Sustainable Portfolio Strategies within the Multi Asset Strategies group at BlackRock with combined responsibilities across portfolio management and sustainable research. In this role, he is responsible for delivering unique BlackRock sustainability signals in portfolios, delivering sustainable solutions for client mandates and developing new capabilities to grow BlackRock’s sustainable solutions business.
In a prior role at BlackRock, he was head of Global Sustainable Research and Data. He led the development of an internal ESG scoring framework, the Carbon Beta approach for measuring impacts of carbon pricing and was responsible for creating a platform ESG research capability Prior to joining BlackRock in 2018, Andre was a managing partner at Quotient Investors, developing sustainable investment strategies. His work in quantitative research and product development spanned roles with the Industrial Bank of Japan, Asset Management One, Innovest and Barra in San Francisco, New York and London.
Andre holds an MBA in Finance from UC Berkeley a Masters in Engineering from UC Berkeley and a BS from Virginia Tech.
