Over the past several months, we have presented a series of webcasts focusing on how private markets strategies are being used in the private wealth management sector. The first episode focused on the increasing demand for private markets strategies from wealth managers on behalf of their clients, and how wealth managers and advisors are learning from their counterparts in the institutional space. The second episode took the discussion further, focusing on which strategies in particular are being deployed and for what purpose within clients’ portfolios. Our third and final episode in this series will assess the expanding universe of investment vehicles and structure available – and under development for use in a portfolio of private markets funds.
Topics of discussion will include:
- A quick review of the private markets strategies most in demand in wealth management. What are clients asking for? What strategies are falling out of favor and why?
- What vehicles and structures are currently available to meet that demand, and which need to be developed?
- What are the internal resources and external tools wealth managers need to assess and deploy these options successfully? Managing the regulatory, legal, and technology aspects of private markets investment vehicles and structures.
- What is the institutional space doing that can inform the wealth managers?
This event is organized by CFA Institute.
